“AIMA Akshara Mudra Award” introduced in the year 2016 is conferred every year to an impressive literary work. A duly constituted jury after considering outstanding literary contributions in the fields of story,  novel,  poetry, screen play, etc determines the award.

Shri Bhanu Praksah for  his book ‘Bhava Dasaratham’ was selected for AIMA Literary Award – 2016.  In ‘Bhava Dasaratham’ the author voyages amidst biography and autobiography, inventing a new style of authoring, to depicts the protracted thirty five years of Padmashree Mohanlal’s filmy life

The jury constituted under the Chairmanship of Dr. P. V. Krishnan Nair, Secretary, Kerala Nadaka Academi included eminent scholars like Dr. P S Radha Krishnan, Director, School of Letters, Mahatma Gandhi University, Dr N P Vijaya Krishnan, Writer and Critic, Mohan, Renowned Malayalam Film Director, Dr. G Prabha, ex Head of the Department, Oriental Languages,  Loyola College, Madras.
